Not a difficult choice at all for what you listed. 47w802 all the way. X-reality pro and local dimming make a huge difference in picture quality. R550 is a base series. Nothing fancy and has a bit of motion blur during sports or high action scenes. The w802 is gorgeous all around. No motion blur, better color, and I love the the quartz edge design. You can tell it's a high end TV even when it's off. Also, the series was rated by CNET as the best TV for gaming. due to it's insanely low input latency.

Btw, the guy who said don't focus on smart features obviously doesn't know anything about current Sony models as the only non smart TVs you may be able to find are 40 inches and those are actually discontinued as well. (All new models are hitting the stores in the next month or so but this makes for great deals on what's left) Although you can get a lot of those features through an external device, you can't change the fact that manufacturers aren't putting high end panels, processors and other important bits in their low end, non-smart sets and there are huge differences in picture quality even after calibration. Both of these sets are low on the "soap opera effect" but you can turn Motionflow down or off on both of them to reduce that (and you should anyway for the most part.. especially for gaming). Also, both sets will have a gaming mode but the R550 is no comparison to a W series (w802, w850, or w900)

Both of these TVs might be difficult to find right now tho as they are both being discontinued. Great deals on them if you can tho. The 55w802 is still available most places and if you go to best buy or somewhere else that will price match amazon then you can pick up the 55 for ~$1325. (that TV was originally $2000... Best buy requires it to be shipped and sold by amazon and not a 3rd party. But amazon still has it for $1321.33. Just show them where it says shipped and sold by amazon.)

> Amazon listed them instantly and I ordered TV in a few clicks. Lesson learned

The issue isn't limited to Best Buy, and Amazon certainly isn't immune to it. With some items Amazon has the same price listing issues that Best Buy does, and for the same reasons.

For example:

This and this and this at Amazon all need to be added to your cart before you can view the prices.

So there should be a lesson learned here, but probably not the one you think you're learning.
