When you feel your ears, nose, and/or throat start to tickle or hurt...

Squirt some silver into the back of your throat a few times a day to maybe kill some bad shit.
Put some hydrogen peroxide in your ears to maybe get some of the bad shit out.
Gargle with warm salt water a couple of times a day.
Drink a shit-ton of water.
Go to sleep early.
Wear your favorite clothes and take extra time with hair, make-up, etc. I often find that when I know I look put-together, I feel and act more put-together--preventing me from wallowing and allowing myself to feel sicker and sicker, if that makes sense.

I do this every time I start to feel throat pain or congestion. I have not gotten a cold or flu in two years, so this works for me. Obviously every person's body is different and everyone needs to figure out what works for him or her!
