As a side note about Max Martin and pop music production, have you read The Song Machine: Inside the Hit Factory about how Max Martin and his protégés create music that has dominated the pop music landscape for decades? It’s a fantastic read, and I believe that it’s a featured book for the PopHeads Book Club and I think you’d be really into it.

I highly recommend reading The Song Machine by John Seabrook. I started reading it around 11:30 last night (23:30 for you normal people non-Americans) and finished it at 3 in the morning.

I feel like you'd really enjoy this book.
