I love The Story of Little Mole Who Went in Search of Whodunit by Werner Holzwarth.

Very entertaining for the 2-7 crowd, because it's all about poop! The little mole gets pooped on, and then goes to interrogate all the animals about how they poop, complete with great onomatopeia of pooping noises
