I'm not sure if this toy would be age appropriate but I thought it was cool. The manufacturer's recommended age is up to 1 year, Amazon recommends it up to 2 years. We got one for our almost 4 month old and she loves it. It attaches just fine to an infant seat but I'm not sure about a convertible.
