I use these sensors and they have worked for 2 years and still going. There is a reason it's required. Prevents turning a "damnit, time to pull over" into a "OHH------!"

I had 4 of these from Amazon put on my '06 when I had the tires changed last fall. Discount tire even programmed them for me.

Buy them yourself on Amazon (ouch, just checked and they've jumped up in price !) and have DT or Walmart install them and program them. Walmart will do it very inexpensively.

Here's a single sensor for $31. They sell a 2-pack that was cheaper by buying two at a time but that price advantage is gone now.

Any dangers of going used vs new? About a $10 difference but i just dont want something going wrong again.

This used one or this re manufactured one must be what youre talking about.

Ive seen that theres some programming that needs to be done using a special tool but ive also seen that this isnt necessary and the car will "pick it up" on its own after a few minutes so idk
