I'm not sure. I'd look for something with more than 7 gears since Austin is so hilly and hybrids are so heavy. However, if all the riding will be strictly within your neighborhood (boring!), the SE looks like a good option.
I don't know much about the it, but personally I would prefer something like this. I don't know anything much about this brand either, but it's a few lbs lighter than the SE, 21 speed vs. 7, same component group, and has disc brakes.
