There is all kinds of stuff like that available.

As for the "world behind the world" theory, there is all kinds of scientific theory about parallel universes, and some of the collective "hallucinations" caused by consciousness-bending drugs such as LSD and salvia seem to reinforce that notion. But these are planes of existence which can't be interpreted or detected by the naked senses.
