If you aren't in a hurry, you could wait until the next drop on the 4GB. I think last time I got one for $130. Last deal from Amazon was $150 for 4GB + 1600 points I believe.
Not better, but if you would prefer a 4GB with Kinect for $15 more.
A brand-new Xbox with the Kinect sensor: $297

well there have been loads of deals this holiday season. I don't see any 4GB deals, but I do see Amazon has the 4GB w/kinect for $300, with a $100 credit. so buy that, sell the kinect on craigslist for $100, and you are out $200 for the 4GB console, which is retail, but you have a $100 credit on amazon to blow on games and perhaps a second controller.
if that breaks the bank, I'd say keep on the craigslist tip. I just checked Nashville, and saw plenty of offerings, but nothing super compelling.
