I'm feeling the struggle on this! We're taking LO to a family Christmas concert and we need to dress up but be practical for weather and fuss.

Tesa Babe has a lot of Christmas rompers with cute prints.

Might do this with tights/leggings. But will probably have to replace the shirt with a onesie for practical purposes.

Amazon, Kohls, Carters, Gerber

Kid's first outfits have been day of the week onesies (https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-2907674/baby-boy-carters-7-pk-weekday-graphic-bodysuits.jsp?prdPV=43). We did get some hand me downs with animals on them, but they're more part of the pattern than actual decor/sayings on the clothes.

We found more simple things/neutrals as well: https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-2907659/baby-carters-7-pk-print-graphic-solid-bodysuits.jsp?prdPV=25 and https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-2907680/baby-carters-7-pk-graphic-striped-bodysuits.jsp

We did make an exception for this outfit though. WAY too cute on him! https://www.amazon.com/Carters-Baby-3-Piece-Hedgehog-Set/dp/B072FJRR9M. It seems hedgehogs are the new 'animal' trend, but for some reason they seem way less offensive to me than things like whales or elephants.

I have a feeling as he grows, he's going to be a polo shirt onesie kind of kid...

Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Columbia-Unisex-Baby-Infant-Monkey-Bunting/dp/B00AKFZFQO/ref=sr_1_23?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1393876629&sr=1-23&keywords=columbia

It's been really nice and not too bulky for the carseat. He stays cozy, but doesn't get too hot once were in a store or in the car.

Well, aren't y'all looking spectacular today!

For gift one, a cutting board because I recently dropped mine and it broke in half! or I would really love a Kindle Paperwhite because I spend a ton of time trying to read in bed and always get frustrated because my silly clip on light never shines in the right place. This would be super helpful.

And for number two, baby clothes because my baby is growing faster than I can keep up! :) C'mon...gimme, please.

edit: to add the paperwhite to one.

Hi there! I'm currently a SAHM too with my 9 month old daughter and I am totally nervous to leave her at a day care. So my pep talk is the great thing is that you get to leave her with her a daddy- a person you know, love, and trust. You know he also loves her and will treat her wonderfully. Actually, you are quite lucky you don't have to do the whole daycare and stranger thing!

I'd love this for my daughter if I win!

Good Luck hotpinkfishfood! Seriously- you'll do great and so will daddy! :)

I definitely NEED this OWL onesie and pant set for our pending arrival because it's hella cute and his lovey is an owl. 'Nuff said. :)

Alternatively, I need anything (and everything!) off my Edible Goodies WL because I NEED TO EAT ALL THE NOMS. ALL THE TIME. Seriously. I.Cant.Stop.Eating.

Thank you for the contest!

I'll be there for you

Baby lingerie is just creepy, guess that is what they buy after piercing the infant's ears, putting one of those awful headbands on their huge potato heads or buying clothing that has the word princess on it. Just gross! All of it! I pity babies being forced to wear such crap! They're ugly enough as it is without making it worse.

Right up there with always putting boys in wanna be pro sports clothing or future this or that (Bing gives over 33 million results for baby boy sports clothes). Or clothing with words on it for boy or girl infants...because we all know the infants share the sentiment. Most baby clothing is gag worthy and obnoxious to me.

We could easily have one very, VERY long post with links to the most offensive baby clothing found on the internet.

I only have a biological toddler and I am not sure if we will take younger placements but I just split up my daughters old clothes 0-3T into 5 boxes (1.5 cuft). It really depends on kiddo and lifestyle. This is just a guess based off what we used.

For babies (preemie- 12 months)

I did actually see some on Amazon - they're of course still being MARKETED as girls' clothes, but the design is not frilly or pink.

http://www.amazon.com/Gerber-Baby-Girls-Newborn-Bodysuit-Legging/dp/B00W5LKPE8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1462671322&sr=8-2&keywords=baby+clothes+with+cats

I also liked these, which are saying outright for girls OR boys:

http://www.amazon.com/Newborn-T-shirt-Leggings-Outfits-Months/dp/B01ARKNIWO/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1462671322&sr=8-12&keywords=baby+clothes+with+cats

Other than that, I haven't seen much, but I also haven't started looking too hard at baby clothes lest my wallet leap out of my hand, go running down the street, and into the nearest baby store without my consent!

I had a lot of anxiety over it. I got it done early though since I had my shower when I was ~24 weeks (my mom threw the shower and between her traveling for work and the holidays, it's the only time that worked).

We seriously did not know what to put as far as clothes go because we were/are getting a ton of hand me downs. I asked hubby to work on it one day and came back to almost a hundred new items added! They were all almost pizza or taco related. With sayings like "pizza is my bae" and one of his favorites "tacocat". He also found a bunch with his favorite bands, movies, or basically anything he would wear in baby size. Not everyone bought off registry, but anyone who looked at it got a good idea of our sense of humor and taste.

I also put some things I don't think I'll use, but I might if someone else bought it, like a wipe warmer. Not everything on the registry needs to be bought. People like to buy stuff though, I don't get it.

My daughter would love this she's such a little girly girl, no matter how hard I push against it, she'll always be a princess and never a tomboy, Pink and Purple, no blue and green... sigh
