Lanyard for your sail card. Wear it around your neck. I ordered a ton of them and was handing them out to all sorts of people. Never ever ever sail without one. It makes it so much more convenient.

Almost everyone who saw me with it would say “gah we should have thought of that”. Then I’d pull one out of my pocket and hand it over - great way to make friends!

Ooooooh, wrong kind of lanyard.

The loop appears designed for a string lanyard, like this: https://www.amazon.com/Colorful-Lanyards-Keychains-Portable-CaseBuy/dp/B018JW4IBC/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1538146643&sr=8-4&keywords=string+lanyard

They aren't super popular in USA, and I'm not sure how they are in Britain, but in some Asian countries they are much more popular, or at least used to be (it was basically a requirement for mobile phones to have a spot to attach one of these, at one time.)

The living is easy with this handy lanyard

When i was once a young girl we would occasionally visit a neighboring state. It was a 9 hour drive there and 9 hours back. One thing i found that made the trip easier, for me, was to make BLANKET WORLD!!!!

Basically you use all the pillows and blankets you will pack (this also saves packing space), and make a warm, comfortable room in the car. You use the blankets to cover the windows to double as a black out curtain, and the pillows are, well, pillows. Be sure to leave one blanket out if they want to cover themselves.

This doubles as a bedroom for the crankiest of travelling kids (easier to nap), as you will be travelling for days it may be harder for some kids to sleep in a strange environment (hotel).

Make sure to leave the vents un-covered as it can get hot.

Also! Tell your kids when you are coming up to a when you FIRST see the bathroom signs. Depending on their age stop anyways, and let them walk around to get their bladder working.

Also! Get everyone headphones nothing is worst than arguing over who's device needs to be turned down.

The best part of Ringke cases are the holes that let you attach a wrist strap. If I'm wearing something with pockets there's no way my 6P is going to fit, but I'm too worried about dropping it to just carry it in my hand. With a wrist strap you can have both hands free to carry food, your wallet or whatever.

  1. Fancy TV that you can save a whole $53/year in energy!

  2. Overly fancy tissue box. It isn't over $10,000 until you factor in the $5 shipping (so convenient!)

  3. A definitely not overpriced item

    Over 10K? Fancy!

Well I use a backpacker's carabineer clip watch as a key fob that I can carry in my jacket pocket or around my neck clipped to a lanyard (I'm in a wheelchair & often find the lanyard to be more easily accessible than my pockets)

Similarly, I also carry around ALL my necessary IDs (drivers license, medical insurance, etc) in my wallet... which (like many men) I often keep in my rear pants pocket... However, since I'm in a wheelchair, and also have a bunch of other crap to carry around nowadays, I've also started using a small canvas sling bag that has various storage compartments for easy, organized access. (Although the pictures show it being worn like a small backpack, I find it comfortable being worn bandolier style - over my shoulder and across my chest & midriff for easy access) And it's another good option for carrying keys, wallet, cell phone, medicines, eyeglasses/sunglasses, pens/pencils/notepads, candy/chewing gum, penlight/flashlight, pocket knife/multitool and whatever other small "essential" items you might find it handy to carry around with you... I jokingly refer to it as my "man purse," but find it to be hellaciously useful, even if I wasn't in a wheelchair.... Highly recommended.

I have this one from amazon. I like that I can detach the end so I don’t have to take the whole thing off when I unlock my door.

The youtube tutorial I used to make them.

I've made pouches using combinations of flannel, cotton, and denim (usually cotton on the outside with flannel on the inside).

These three I decided to use the same fabric for both inside and outside.

The first is clearly all denim. The last two (bicycle pattern and anchor pattern) are all cotton.

  • Sewing machine: Singer Start
  • Thread: Coats & Clark Dual Duty XP General Purpose Thread
  • Zipper: 7" YKK Zippers
  • Wrist straps: polyester, but I'm not really sure they have a brand

The Sewing machine, thread, and fabric I bought from a local Jo-Ann fabrics store.

The Zipper and wrist straps I bought from amazon.

    Wrist Straps

I've been sewing since December 2018.

It takes me about 20 minutes to do a given pouch.

These actually seem decent, but don't ship to my country. The cheap ones I could find that ship anywhere look exactly the same - it's really impossible to tell the quality except for from reviews.

Here are things that look nice and sturdy, but are waaaay too long (those are meant for wearing around your neck).

Maybe try this. I use one for my D18. It seems fine. Also cheap enough to replace as needed.
