I also own an AE, but haven't yet changed out the seat. One option I was thinking of is pairing their lumbar support seat with an additional padded cushion, like this.

Edit: Also, check out the AE website under accessories. They sell a KAYAK SEAT LINK AE2502 which either allows you to use an AE seat on another kayak or "They also allow for the attachment of any aftermarket kayak seat to your Advanced Elements Kayak."
