I found wearing bunion toe spacers during the day helped.

Best thing on the mat is Kurt Osiander's toe taping. I found the cheapest grocery-store brand tape did fine. $8 lasted me a couple weeks. I taped them both up for 2 months, but haven't had it recurr.

Why not start small and try to fix things one at a time? Try out these bunion fixers (https://smile.amazon.com/Bunion-Corrector-Relief-Protector-Sleeves/dp/B01M5E0Q0T) or go to a pediatrics specialist. You can love yourself by going to the doctor or buying things for the bunions, just like you'd do for your child or friend if you knew it was something that bothered them.

So if has hurt for a year despite you taping it the entire time after the injury? Geez... Turf toe isnt the end of the world but I dont want to have this for a year plus. its a pain in the butt and it makes me super cautious while rolling.
Do you do anything after your done training? Like wear some gadget for bunions or turf toe.
Right my plan is to tape my toes for every time I roll. Then, when i get home, slip on this device: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R3HZGZ9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I am hoping that after 3 months, the turf toe will not be noticeable at all. One thing that has helped surprisingly well is wearing a ankle brace. Not sure why but it helps reduce the swelling in my toe.
