Enjoy the ride! A couple things I would recommend off the bat as somebody who just started myself a couple weeks ago. A lot of stuff is in the Read First FAQ on the sidebar as well.. but just wanted to share my personal experience!

Have fun!
Price drop on envelopes. 500 for $12.99. I usually pay $14.99. And these have strip n seal (the $14.99 ones don't), making the process quicker. https://www.amazon.com/Top-Flight-PSTF10NWT-Envelopes-Security/dp/B0186D2JGK/
For my Vote Forward folks. :)
You could probably get away with a file folder / envelope of paperwork pretty easily.
Something like this:
Clasp Envelope
You can buy something similar to that one at a time @ the post office by the way. You don't have to buy a whole package of them.
You might have to fold it to get it into your storage container @ boot camp though.
We put everything into a grocery-store sized paper bag with our name on it when I went in back in 1990.
Mailing Envelope
If you can fold and fit everything into one or two mailing envelopes, I guarantee you'll be good to go.
You could ask your bank about a safety deposit box as recommended by /u/roguevirus
You might also consider one of those storage rental places, if you want to store clothes and things to come back and collect later.
Minor warning: later might be a while, like a year until you go to your first duty station before you can pull your box of sneakers, jeans and memories out of storage.

I randomly need some envelopes and some pens
Sad that I need some envelopes. But I've been mailing so much recently, I ran out of #10 envelopes.
Ivory is base green, buff is base yellow. I have a wide collection of miniature grade paints and those two seperate into a beige/offwhite and thinner other color when left unshaken too long.
Amazon.ca sells them by the hundred Quality Park 54411 Document Envelopes, 9x12, 40lb, Cameo Buff, 100/Box https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0006VNSS4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_VNnXDbB0MJDP3

In addition to the other reply, I've written on Mohawk skytone envelopes and paper. It's excellent for most inks I've tried on it.
I've also folded the letter sized paper into an envelope.

I second keeping the cases if you have the room to store them somewhere.
When I didnt have room for mine I put the cases in some large plastic totes and I put the disks in cd binders. Each slot was numbered so I could look at an excel spreadsheet with all my movies listed and go to the right spot. Numbering each spot in the binders took a while.
What my library does is they have the disks in paper sleeves like this. They actually labeled every sleeve and then store them alphabetically in little plastic totes that are just wide enough for the disk.
If you want to keep the artwork and not the cases my best guess would be to get a tote that is water resistant/has a seal and put them in there. Get some silica desiccant packets and store them in with them, you dont want moisture to build up and have everything stick together. Usually the packets can be reused just by putting them in the oven every few months to dry them out. Someone may have better options for this though.

That's the kind I used. It usually weighed more than an ounce so I paid for postage at the post office.
They have different addresses, depending on what you're sending

Very brown envelopes... sometimes even called "manilla" envelopes.
These are perfect...
What I was trying to imply was an accusation that these land dealers behind the closed doors were susceptible to a bribe or a cash bung to incentivise them to sell the land to you rather than another party.
I mean of course this sort of behaviour would be categorically denied by people in the sector of ever happening. As someone who works in this sector myself I can categorically say that this sort of behaviour is....
