This got me thinking about the stereotype that foutons are cheap and uncomfortable.
Turns out the most expensive fouton is $6k and plus af
amazon sells 75in by 75in kotatsu at $128, but if you have the money to blow, they recommend these $180 75in by 75in kotatsu because it has more positive reviews
I found a bunch of inexpensive midcentury-modern style stuff for you. I hope you like it.

Even if you don't like the stuff I picked out, hopefully I gave you some places to get started. In addition to the stuff I showed you, I highly recommend you get some things that will add life and color to your room; namely, plants, wall art, and a rug.
The wood on the stuff I showed you matches your kitchen cabinets (from what I can tell), so your place will have a uniform feel. However, as I mentioned, it's the little things like plants that will really make your place shine!
Well it’s your lucky day
As an alternative, you could try a futon. After a borderline-psychotic amount of research I actually went with a walmart futon for my small living room and I love it. It has multiple back/arm positions, doubles as a guest bed, and it's pretty comfy. It was $139 I believe. After a few months of daily usage it's still in great shape.
Just throwing it out there. Your space looks dope btw.
shitty futon from amazon
actually here's a link
i kept the back up because the 'crease' between the seat-back was literally a giant plank of wood, and i sleep on my side anyway
it lost its cushioning very quickly and it was an overall disaster. you could feel 'wires' or something every few feet.
don't be poor lol
luckily i can fall asleep whenever i want so
My cats claw allll my furniture, so I buy a new one of these once a year when it starts to look like an awful scratching post:

Cheap, easy to assemble, looks really nice with my minimalist set up in the living room, and is actually comfortable to sleep on.
It is cute but not super comfy! I got it from amazon
Basically I will need to fit in a dresser like this one, a desk like this one, a futon like this one and a full sized bed. What's the best way to organize the space to allow maximum floor space?
edit: The window in the south is arched so the ceiling inside directly following the window all the way to the northern tip of the closet entrance is higher then the rest of the ceiling. The storage space entrance has a small height. A bed can cover it.
It’s the comforter for the kotatsu table. Here’s a link to one on amazon

thats the frame Imma go with. its cheap but looks nice with a mix of metal and wood.
but why that matress? it looks really thick
I have this sofa futon in my apartment and I really like it. Haven't had anyone sleep on it yet though, haha. The look is great and setup is easy. That said, it's not the most luxurious couch ever, but it's got a firmness to it that I don't mind and can be remedied if necessary with throw pillows.
Anyways, just another option to look at! The one you linked is pretty decent looking as well.

Get yourself something like this. I have one in my guest room and it's pretty comfy. I sleep on it sometimes. There are tons of convertible sleepers on Amazon all prices. Check the reviews for comfort level. And this way your just getting a super practical piece of furniture, not a separate bed. The fact that it's basically gonna be your bed means nothing...
