I have an unusual setup that requires a bit of explanation.

Before I started using supersoil I used that Bluelab pH controller to maintain a 6.5 pH in the reservoir automatically. Now it's just an overpriced pH monitor.

Since the reservoir is tucked into that corner with a shelf above it, determining the water level was a challenge. The PVC pipe on the right has a right angle that goes down into the res about 3 inches. I blow into that pipe periodically when filling the res and once it bubbles I know it is full. If someone has a better idea I'd love to hear it.

Also, you'll see a pump on top of the res that's for aeration. It feeds an 8inch air stone at the bottom of the res.

The 3rd water line coming from the res on the right going into that cup is just to test the water if needed when the tent is in flower and can't be opened.

The 10gal bucket on the left is for hand feeding with a submersible pump, I hardly need to use that anymore either with this new supersoil setup. (edit: this is unrelated to blumats but thought it needed an explanation)

I'm going to second for iron - I bought myself a bag from amazon and have been dosing in lieu of my millers microplex every other weeks and also dosing equal amounts magnesium during my iron/millers days just because the water in my town comes from a well with high calcium and low magnesium. I went from the yellowish color in my dwarf baby tears you have to a much healthier looking green in two weeks.

that will do what youre looking for. Make sure if you use that fertilizer that you ph your water after you use it because it will tank you PH down to about 4. If someone tells you you have to spend more than $400 to get started they are wrong. You do not need to spend that much. You can ... but you dont have to.

OK, so lets get crazy with it. What lights are you running? Do you already have a 2x4 tent? I'm going to assume these are both locked in.

Pretty hard to not cut corners with only a $100 budget, but doable.

Total $123.50

Someone did an analysis of those lights and found they were decent. You could get away with just one depending your space. I think they pull like 50W. The only things missing from this are pots, an exhaust (no idea what your setup requirements are), possibly a carbon filter if smell is a concern, and reflective material (cut up cheap space blankets if your closet isn't white).

Bluelab has a pH doser that doesn't have connectivity nor a touchscreen and only one pump ranging from $370 to $469, so I thought that price was comparable. I could be wrong, but it would be nice to not have to adjust/dose pH manually or take those measurements.
