There's already a Genesis
I have one with all the accessories RetroGEN (Play genesis games) and RetroAdvance (Play GBA games). I love it. It is made of a nice material that feels great in your hand and isn't heavy at all. Plays almost every cart you can throw at it. The battery last about 8-10 hours on a single charge so plenty of play time too. I use mine all the time. Get this one over the SupaBoy any day of the week. Does everything the SupaBoy does and way more!
If I have to say a downside I would say it is far more sensitive to dirty carts than any other system. So make sure you thoroughly clean your carts before using with the Retro Duo.
I probably wouldn't buy from ThinkGeek. You can find better deals on it elsewhere. Make sure you get the V2.0 Core. I got mine on Groupon for $45.
$73 on Amazon w/Prime
$79 on StoneAgeGamer
For those who don't know what the mini Genesis is - much like myself yesterday before I spotted it at a thrift store - it is a Radica Arcade Legends Sega Genesis Volume II. It takes 4 AA batteries and has the following games:
Here's a screenshot of the menu. Gain Ground and Columns are two of my all-time favorite Genesis games - I was a bit floored when I found out that this funky mini Genesis actually had Gain Ground on it.
These little bastards fetch a pretty penny on Amazon and eBay - I got father and son, if you will, for $8. Of course, the battery cover is missing - oh well, it works just fine.
The rest of yesterday's haul includes:
PS1 (7501) w/hookups, 2 controllers, memory card and Croc: Legend of the Gobbos ($10)
5-screw Top Gun and Tennis + 32X Mortal Kombat II ($10)
You got a really bad deal, and I am starting to question how out of touch the users in this subreddit are. I would have expected at least $100 from a used game store.
Amazon trade-ins (assuming no boxes/manuals/"acceptable" condition):
NES Games:
Genesis games:
Amazon consoles/controllers trade-ins:
So if you clicked all those links, accepted Amazons TOS and mailed them a box with all that stuff they would have given you $71.31. Note that they don't accept NES consoles for trade-ins by themselves, although bundles of NES consoles with the 3 Mario games or with Duck Hunt and the zapper they will trade in for around $100. Some of the Genesis games I couldn't identify. Some of the Genesis games are somewhat valuable but Amazon isn't accepting trade-ins. Here are what the minimum asking price is for the following games:
Amazon Genesis games:
With those games and the NES console I would have expected a used game store to give around $100 for everything. Of course if you don't mind waiting (and waiting) and shipping and posting you could get a least a few hundred.
Do a search for Atari plug n play and Megadrive/Genesis plug n play. Should get a few results
Eg
Sega Megadrive Volume 2 - Plug n Play TV Games https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00066LG60/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_a-GJyb59YXMQ3
I'm almost positive you're thinking of my favorite from the strike series: Jungle Strike.
here's also a wiki link to the entire series.
You can buy an empty shell box and print the label.
I couldn't find the cartridge label at all. :/

Sega made an official rechargeable battery pack for the Nomad (still available from Amazon in the link below, how bizarre). The battery pack is made of six 4/5A NiMH cells.

Went to a thrift store that had a sign in the entryway: "Mixed Media 10/$1" Any CD, DVD, VHS, etc. was ten cents a piece. Fortunately they are not the USPS and did not differentiate between "data" DVD's and "video" DVD's :)
I pulled pretty much anything that wasn't a sports title off the shelf. In no particular order:
Ancient TriPeaks and Ancient Spiders (PC)
Wave Race: Blue Storm (GC)
The Longest Journey (PC)
Fallout Collection (PC)
Roller Coaster Tycoon Expansion Pack (PC)
Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Expansion Pack (PC)
Aces: Complete Collector's Edition (PC)
Stronghold: Crusader (PC)
Zoo Tycoon Complete Collection (PC)
Lemmings Revolution (PC)
Max Payne (PC)
Wheel Of Fortune (GEN)
Riven (PC)
The one he has been playing lately was this
I have not heard him complaining about input lag with it. Are all new "consoles" emulator based with low processing power an lots of input lag? Even those with a cartridge bay to play original games?

Nobody has mentioned Prime Time yet? That game was the shit. I also loved Gameday 98 and thought it was waaaaay better than Madden.

Eternal Champions, Aladdin, Sonic 1,2,3,Knuckles, Road Rash, Sub Terrania, Flashback, Street Fighter 2 Special Champion Edition, NHL '94.
Of course you can always just buy a Mega Everdrive for $54 off Amazon and be able to play any game you want: https://www.amazon.com/Mega-EverDrive-X3-Sega-Genesis/dp/B079X463L3/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=mega+everdrive+x3&qid=1562334362&s=gateway&sr=8-2
This game for the genesis. I played it so much as a kid. It was really a ton of fun, but so damn hard for me.
yeah, I saw it and was like "let me look this up" and tried Amazon and saw http://www.amazon.com/Road-Rash-II-Sega-Genesis/dp/B000035XK9 and was so happy until I searched Ebay and saw it was like $6 lol. I bought it anyway.
