All I can say is that it gets easier. We’re 4 years post diagnosis of 2 kids, now 11 and 5. Your endo and diabetes educator are great resources, and we’ve developed an amazing relationship with ours.
As for resources, here are some things we find invaluable - a food scale (makes carb counting so much easier), measure bowls for cereal, yogurt, etc (similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WHEF0IO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_aAMHDb46AETKP), and the CalorieKing app is great for finding carb counts on things. We also track all their numbers via the BlueLoop website/app, and their endo’s office and the school nurse can see everything there, too. And if you’re in the US where insulin is expensive and you have private insurance, call the manufacturers and ask for copay cards. I hope this helps, and it will be sooner than you think before it becomes much less overwhelming.

FOUND IT
If you are going to get a dutchie - I'd go with enameled. You are limited in what you can do with a naked cast iron DO. No acids = no braising.
The 10.5 inch round griddle is another go to - I use it for tortillas, pancakes, crepes, warming my homemade English muffins. The occasional egg (they work well for making omelets too).
The Green enameled 6 qt Lodge dutch oven is super cheap right now. Just sent one as a wedding gift, 38 bucks. The other ones are 50-60 bucks.
Finally, I love my side dish master I use this for small sides (think 2 or 3 people). I also use it EVERY time I use my grill. It can be used for oven to table dishes too (think single serving enchiladas). And it's the new heat enhanced material - so it doesn't rust. They say you can put it in the dishwasher - but I don't have one.

Olives, pineapple and honey roasted turkey? Not a Hawaiian at all but does sound delicious. I'll give it a shot for sure. It's a Lodge huh? My Lodge pizza pan has very different handles but now that you say it, these Lodge pans are what I was thinking about.
I have a little Lodge cast iron gratin dish and I use that for veggies pretty much any time I fire up my kettle. It’s great for Brussels sprouts, peppers and onions, asparagus, cauliflower florets, green beans, peapods, etc.

EDIT: the snap on work table is great too, assuming you don’t have a table near the grill.
Another: Since you have the chimney, you can grab a Smokey Joe grate for doing the afterburner method.
Okay we definitely have a few similarities. I would say the best things in your Wishlist would be cards against humanity, the led water color changer and the caramel apple pops. I loved those suckers as a kid. I also stared at the gummi bears but I prefer chocolate covered ones. Have you tried them?
Yay for extra unexpected money!! Thanks for the contest :)
As far as something on my list for $10 or under goes, this bowl is definitely something high on my wants. Mostly because I buy myself only necessities and my boyfriend and I are getting our first apartment soon so I want some decoration. It's just so much different that what I usually buy myself so it would be nice :) always buying yourself necessities gets monotonous.
This was all I found and it shows keeping a dip cold, so the spoon would be for serving. I could also see using it to serve caviar with ice in the bottom to keep it cold.

I see, this is a smaller version. The exact model is out of stock. https://www.amazon.com/M-V-Trading-MV0314A27-Japanese-Design/dp/B01B01VFMO/ref=sr_1_4?srs=2597000011&ie=UTF8&qid=1542903530&sr=8-4&keywords=bowl+cat
You will need:
Dissolve yeast in warm water in 7 quart tupperware container (something similar to this) bowl for five minutes. Melt margarine, add sugar, salt, then add to eggs. Add flour (3 cups at a time), mix well. Cover, burp from time to time. Let stand one hour or until lid pops. Put in greased bread pan. Punch down, let double again (about 30 minutes). Bake. Butter. Enjoy!
Thanks everyone! You gave me some great pointers and some good key words to search.
We found these which might do the trick.
Thanks!

This one really struck a chord with me. I can't stand huge, awkward, cumbersome crockery. I don't even like flattish plates very much, at home I prefer eating out of a more curved style dish, sort of like this but nearly plate size.
