If you are considering a bigger pad, I'd also recommend something smaller than that mat, like this.
It doesn't have the giant seams on the edges and is still more than large enough to fit a full size keyboard with plenty of space for mouse movements even at low mouse DPI.
I would imagine the surface finish is a bit better as well, not to mention it would be easier to keep it clean since it wouldn't cover your entire space.

You're welcome ;) this is the exact same one I had before I bought one styled for a game I play.
Didn't think hardly any gamers actually used wireless connections for gaming.
Even better than switching between 2.4 & 5 GHz would be buying a current gen powerline adapter IMO....while it isn't as good as a direct ethernet line from your router by a longshot....is still much more stable than WIFI at least in my experience. I guess it all just depends on everyone's individual circumstances. WIFI connection depends on thicknesses of walls and distance from the router. Powerline adapters depends on the quality/age of the wiring of your house.
After doing a lot of research on Powerline Adapters, this is the one I bought:
Extollo Gigabit Ethernet Powerline Adapter LANSocket 1500 HomePlug AV2000 MIMO Kit
You'd need two of these to complete the connection from your router to your computer, though.
Ah yeah, my wife uses a tartarus! My biggest qualm with it is that the keys are straight vertical and not shifted off like normal keebs, it made years of muscle memory noticeable and it just felt awkward to me at times. But that joystick thing, and mousewheel built into it is legitimately cool. We use the kinesis edge (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XSRGK1V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_F8fqDbEEG6MJE). It probably has my favorite built in hotkey editor from all the other keyboards I've tried, and the split ergo gives me mouse mat space by having the right half off the mat. I only wish I could have gotten this with green switches though, but reds ain't bad.
I hated mwheel up for stab, it was so unsatisfying. m3 makes it feel deliberate and much more accurate!
Buy yourself this and sleep with it. It'll make you feel better.
This is the best 256GB SSD you can buy for $35. That's dirt cheap so there's really no reason not to get one. Even if it doesn't solve your problem here it'll be a huge QOL improvement for just about everything.

SanDisk SSD
That's not even the cheapest one. I picked one that I'd actually buy
What?
As long as you're running some basic mouse, that costs less than 30 dollars, then you are competitive in Mordhau. Not to mention that even if you have some dogshit mouse why does that matter? You don't need insane aim in this game's melee combat to be competent, just throwables and archery. As long as you have a decent mouse, get decent FPS, and somewhere below 80 ping you're at very little disadvantage.
Pans are heavier than maces or a war hammer
