I use polypropylene petri dishes that are plastic but also autoclavable. So I reuse them regularly and come out of the PC just fine. The only downside is they aren't as clear as glass, more translucent; it's enough to see growth going on just fine but I look at them in the SAB with the lid off to be certain about contamination. This is usually when I am ready to transfer so I would have the lid off anyways. I also hit them with UV light after pouring agar which may have added to the translucency. You can get reusable plastic Petris on Amazon. I have bought a few 12 packs.
