So I wound up buying a NEX 2440 off Crutchfield. So far it's working great. Should be about $600 (I'm in Canada so if you're in the states your prices will be lower.)

The 12v to 6v downgraded is used to provide the correct power output for the backup camera. The idatalink maestro is for maintaining steering wheel controls.
If you do wind up going forward with it, let me know and I'll rip out the headunit and show you how I made my modifications to get it fully working .
