Akro-Mils containers are truly BIFL. After storing my college notes in regular plastic tubs, and seeing the tubs collapse under their own weight, I replaced them with these:

I paid around $125 for a box of six.
These get used all the time for delivering product to stores. And unless they get caught in a fire or something, they will still be there 10 years from now, after getting beat around in a truck every day.
They're almost overkill for consumer use, but for things like college notes, which represent tens of thousands of dollars spent, they're worth it. You can stack them on top of each other all day and they'll just take it.
I find them to be too fragile. They're hard enough to be brittle and not strong enough to survive real abuse. In Boston, for the longest time we went with Akro-Mils ALCs (Attached Lid Containers). Someone in our community would collect orders and make a bulk order of about 200 of them each year. Now that they can be bought on Amazon and other places for reasonable rates that is less necessary but these are hands down, much better than the yellow lidded containers found at home depot and similar. They also waste less space on the trucks because they have smaller lips around the top.
These type of totes are awesome if you can find a local source for reasonably priced used ones.
