I work with these types of cables all the time in extreme conditions. You can ask 10 experts and get 10 different suggestions. All of them are right, and all are wrong. (Flame me now). Some will preach standards, others will use crap cables (some will get lucky enough that they work).
As you aren't telling us your use, I can only assume a display feed w/ audio and an IR receiver. You're trying to extend your home theater into your bedroom? On the cheap?
It will likely work because you aren't demanding much from the cables. True file transfers would likely have intermittent issues. Active bidirectional communications would fail. But IR signal blips would be okay, because even if it doesn't work, you'll just hit the button again.
I've got about 100 different amazon basic cables, I've only had one bad one.

I don't have personal experience with either of the cables, but the reviews are good.
Then just clean it up with some basic wall plate openings. Don't get fancy with termination plates, you're adding loss and at this distance that could be bad. (see, I just gave my right/wrong advice)

I'm in a pretty small one bedroom apartment, and my computer is up against the same wall of the apartment as my TV, so this covers the distance from the bedroom to the living room for me.

This is ours, working on Pre and dk1. Note, the long USB from PC to the box has an old powered USB 2 hub just before the box.
For HDMI cables you should stick with Category 2 HDMI cables, often marked as "High Speed".

As for Touch, I'm yet to by the cables for mine. My plan is to set it up 3m x 4m and do a tracking VOLUME comparison. Unfortunately it's going to cost me an extra £150 in USB hubs and extension cables to set it up in the same space (on top of cables I've already got for the Vive). This is because of the requirement of amplifier usb 3.0 cables cause of the length, and the requirement of now 3 USB 3.0 ports on that side of the room, rather than just 1. I know the volume can't support Unseen Diplomacy, but I need to know the limitations before any platform development.

Why waste your time troubleshooting the cable? Go with this and be 100% assured that it supports ARC.
The cable you bought doesn't even list the standard it's certified to. I'd almost bet it's an older 1.3 spec cable which won't support ARC.
