I second this! It has saved me tons of money and none of my buns have been electrocuted which is the most important part. Here's another amazon link for a longer tube in the US. You can cut it to the exact length of your cord with a regular scissors.

I have covered all the cords that have to stay in places they can get to (roomba charger, AC unit, etc.) and just keep the rest of the cords (phone charger etc.) out of reach when they're running.

Perhaps wire loom? You should be able to buy it for a LOT less at your local Home Depot, Menards, Lowes, or auto parts store.

We made an enclosure out of foamcore boards and duct tape...they get chewed eventually, sure...but it worked better than this:

Also, I got wire covers for everything like this:

For EVERYTHING...keeps the chewing down and keeps them from getting peed on. Also, every rat loves a buddy....

Try using something like this to cover your cords if you don't intend on moving them too much. Buns and cords are not a good match. lol.

They will chew the cords if you leave them exposed. What worked for me is covering them up with this:

and then raising all wires off the ground. If I kept them touching the ground, he would still attack the wires. Here's a picture of his living area:

As you can see, he never touched the raised wires.

I purchased this tubing from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0017686ZC?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title It worked great for my cat. It’s fairly inexpensive and you receive a large amount.
