If you don't mind, I would highly recommend that you get this knife instead. It's about the same size and price and it's about as classic as a pocket knife can get, so no one will be freaked out by it.
The reason is this: when a knife has a "surgical steel blade" (as the Gerber does), it's almost certainly going to be really, really shitty. The Buck knife uses 420HC, which is Buck's specialty, and is excellent for the price. It'll stay sharp longer, it'll be much easier to sharpen and it won't corrode. You also get Buck's lifetime guarantee. They stand by their products, and if an issue ever comes up (although that's rare in my experience with Buck), they'll make it right.
Sharpening that will be a chore...
Just grab yourself a good heavy, comfortable box cutter that uses razors. Spend your $25 on a few extra blades and a pack of basswood. Get used to how the blade works when used on wood grain at different angles and directions.
I've got a drawer full of knives and still grab a razor knife for just wasting time whiltiling. It's quick, easy, cheap and it needs no sharpening.
Just my thoughts. If you really want a knife just get a Chinese buck knife. Mine holds an edge better than any expensive case knife I've bought yet.
