I've been quite happy with this cable from Cable Matters.

It was recommended on the QNIX forums on Overclock.net, and seems to provide a strong signal. To be fair, though, I only used the stock cable for a few days, and still haven't OC'd over 96Hz.

Like the other guy said, Monoprice cables are also good.

First review title is correct: "MUST BUY THE DVI-D Dual Link Cable TO RUN AT 144Hz"

Same thing with the 144Hz Acer monitor I picked up. Has to be DVI and they don't supply it.

OK from what I am reading a good dual link DVI cable is probably your best bet for that monitor.

It's possible the cable they shipped with is cheap and not up to the task despite being dual link DVI.

It's also possible something is wrong with the monitor itself.

I would try this one, it's pretty cheap.

Reading the reviews of the first cable looks to be a poor quality cable as others say they cannot get over 60hz using it.

Looking at https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Rankie-Feet-Monitor-Black/dp/B01KX5WX4W it explicitly states DOES NOT support 144Hz Monitor in the description.

I thought that was the issue--so I switched to dual link DVI which is supposed to be able to support 1440, from single link. It came in the mail today and I thought for sure it would fix this issue but there was no difference.
The monitor does not have an HDMI port. I just ordered this for more bandwith so hopefully....

I have a Qnix as well. Im able to hit 120hz 90% of the time, however I do see a little blue line artifact from time to time. Totally worth it though for the 120 hz. Every monitor is different though, your results may vary. I hope to Gaben you didnt buy the multi input version.

Also, the stock DVI cable may not be able to to output 120hz because it is of crap quality.

Have you tried using a different cable or changing the dvi port? I usually stick with 96hz anyways to keep the pixel clock down, usually just go 120 when I game.

As the others have said Display Port is best but if you need to use one of the DVI ports it does not matter which you use. The only thing that matters when using DVI at 144Hz is that the cable is dual link, something like this. Dual link DVI has more pins and a thicker cord than single link DVI cables.

Yep! When in doubt, get a dual link DVI-D cable (something like this). It'll fit in any DVI port ( that isn't DVI-A, but you don't see that anymore ).

Whether you have a GTX 780 or GTX 750 Ti, either way that card is going to struggle to run some modern games (Overwatch for example) at a solid 144fps, even on low settings. You want at least a constant 144 frames per second if you're running a 144hz monitor.

Luckily, your monitor also supports lower refresh rates (such as 120hz, etc). I would see what kind of frames you get and probably end up lowering the refresh rate to match what kind of frames you're getting. When you get a better graphics card or computer, you can turn the refresh rate up.

As far as hooking it up, the only port you want to use on your current graphics card is the DVI (white one). Your monitor will do 144hz with a proper DVI-DL (DVI Dual Link) cable. That's likely the only way you'll get 144hz out of it.

You might have DVI cable already around the house, but it probably won't be Dual-Link. Also, worry more about matching the amount of frames you get in games with the refresh rate, rather than just worrying about having to get 144hz.

Anyway, the bigger issue is you bought a fairly nice monitor, but your graphics card (and maybe PC, I'm not sure what CPU you have) will barely support it.

Also, don't screw around with buying an adapter. If you're going to stick with what you have, run the Dual Link DVI.

This monitor has a DVI-D connector on the back just like your graphics card. Just by a DVI-D Dual Link Cable and you'll be good to go.

There's your problem right there. You need a DVI-D Dual-link cable for 144hz to work. Luckily they are super cheap:
