If it has those plastic strings then you need nylon strings for it these ones will be fine
You will definitely be able to do it yourself. This video should show you how to to it. I'm pretty sure these dont have a ball end but if they do make sure the ball end is on the bridge and not at the head of the guitar.
Your fingers will hurt when learning, try not to press super hard though, just enough to make the strings touch the fret board.
