I am Loooooow maintenance. Makeup routine is 5 minutes (foundation, mascara, lipstick - if I'm feeling fancy, a swipe of blush). These will hold a curl for me for more than a week (I use the pineapple method at night).
To use these, I wash, set, and sleep in the set overnight. Flexi Rods are the be all end all as far as I'm concerned. Flexi Rods are ridiculously versatile. Like I said, I'm often in a headband, but for the style you showed, flexirods would be my first choice. Easy peasy, and the curl pattern would keep for ages.
