I just finished an 8-year run at Walmart in the Electronics department. With their latest round of belt-tightening, plus shifting employees from customer service to stocking positions, Electronics is abandoned or grossly understaffed for much of the time.
No one has to ask how to use soup, or which banana is compatible with their kitchen, but there are armies of clueless people with technical questions who will now wander aimlessly, buying stuff that they don't need and that won't work with their existing stuff.
What are they looking for? HDMI to RCA cables. USB cables to get video from PC to TV. A card that makes a PS4 get unlimited internet from the air by magic. A router that doesn't need a modem, or an ISP, to "make internet".
Nice people, but clueless and ripe for fleecing...
I'm not sure how well it would work, but possibly you could use a cable like this and also add that to the hub. Then there would be power going into the hub, and into your phone. I've never tried this nor ever heard someone doing that, but it might work.
You need a usb male to male cable.. (a to a)
Check this for example :https://www.amazon.com/Generic-Super-Feet-Male-Cable/dp/B000BSJFFC
You won't need any otg etc. Just connect using that after doing your work, disable developer mode. Because if u don't disable usb won't work if u connect storage device etc it don't detect any other usb devices at all until you disable the developer mode.
One common issue is power delivery. If you can get a usb type a male to type a male (like this one) and a battery bank. You should be able to plug it into one of the slots on your hub, which would power the whole thing. I think it's legal, and even if it isn't, the controllers have stayed connected even after the battery bank is disconnected in our experience.
Edit: I am very bad at formatting links
Edit 2: Try this for your type a to micro b connection if that turns out be the problem.
This is what i mean by a same sided usb. ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BSJFFC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TvhaBbDNJYH9C )
I dont have much other gear and i would want to just get audio from the record player directly into ableton. Since both the record player and my computer have usb outputs i wanted to see if i could connect the two using this double sided usb. But im not very experianced in this feild so it may very well not be possible.
dude, from the drawing in the user's manual, it seems like you need a USB-a male to male plug, like this one.
if not can you take a photo of the usb jack on the player so we can see it? thanks.
edit, alternatively you could call them and ask if it's a special cable or a standard one.
OTG Cable/ Mico USB
Male to Male USB
You would connect OTG Cable to Shield, then Use the male to male USB to go from the OTG Cable to the input USB of your Speaker system. You might have to fiddle with Android USB Connections t oget it to be recognized properly: MTP, PTP, and USB Mass Storage

Doesn't have to be 3.0 spec
