They’re legal everywhere (it’s YOUR car), but some states require notice. A small sticker somewhere would suffice if your state is a 2 party state.
The one that I want is this one. It has 2 cameras that swivel so one can face out and one can face in. Others here have recommended it so that’s how I found out about it. I don’t have it yet though unfortunately.

I use the Falcon Zero F360.
I also use another dash camera for the back as well to record behind the car.
I just bought one not even a week ago. While this particular one is very much made in mind for someone like taxi driver (has two cameras, one to film inside the car) I absolutely LOVE this dashcam.
It's on the expensive side, but WELL worth it.
