Looks like the connections are RCA. That's old school. But with adapters, you can use most any speaker.
Something like this would allow you to hook up regular speakers to this thing.
Other than that I have no specific reccomendations. This thing isn't high quality, so get whatever you can find that's cheap and enjoy it.
They still make needles for this, so if the record player turns, but the stylus is shot, you can replace it for something like $20.
You might even find speakers with RCA connectors like that at another yard sale. But I don't think they've made them since the 70s or 80s.

That sub wants a line level stereo input, and it has its own low pass filter and amplifier. This is great because you don't have to worry about the filter, you don't have to worry about powering the subwoofer from your receiver, and you don't have to worry about summing to mono. You'll just have to worry about getting your speaker level signal down to line level.

Don't worry, this is ultimately just a question of adapters.

grab you something like this and feed it from the receiver into something like this. Then use a pair of standard male-male RCA cables to connect that volume controller to your subwoofer input. I just included the first links I could find for these adapters - I'm not recommending the specific pages I linked. You can probably find them for cheaper on ebay if you have some patience.

I'll make a note that the volume control may not be strictly absolutely necessary for the system to 'work' - but the subwoofer is expecting a line level input, so when you turn the receiver up the sub might start sounding like garbage. The point of the volume control is to bring the signal back down to line level so that the subwoofer amp can be happy.

When installing, just make "A" your normal speakers and "B" your subwoofer. FWIW though it shouldn't actually matter if you just put them all on "A" - it should not affect the sound in any way.

finally, a word on what the kids call gain staging. If you have a DMM, try to get the AC voltage across the subwoofer input to be around 2V. I'm not being really specific here, it just shouldn't be 10 and it shouldn't be 0.3...
