My favorite tool(s) I absolutely love these things and couldn't have done the headgasket on my jetta without them. They feel great in the hand too! I don't feel that their newer spline drive flex head set is worth the price difference.
I got all flex head ratchets when I started and after doing a few projects I absolutely hated them, and replaced them all with fixed heads. I still have the flex heads around just in case I need them but it hasn't happened and it's been 3 years.
For the balljoint work I'd just get a pickle fork as they've never failed me.
I've never needed a slide hammer, heard they can really mess up your wrists if you use them wrong though.

Hand Impact Driver If you get this one from HFT, throw away the bits immediately and order some VIM ones off of amazon.
The HFT PRO ^1/2" drive impact sockets are chromolly and are great, the non-pro impact sockets aren't worth the paper your receipt is printed on.
