I got this and attached it to my Ergotron LX side by side arms, works great!
The reason I have not considered doing the plate myself is because I'm almost certain I won't get them in the same exact spot on multiple monitors. On a triple arm it would be a big deal but I suppose I could get single arms and line them up individually.

But you have to shave some of the plastic off on the monitor itself. I'm ordering two tonight and will give them a shot instead of the one where it just holds the arm in place.

FYI, you can get a VESA adaptor for that monitor since the stand sucks so bad. I had that monitor myself for about a year and a half. I ended up selling it and buying a refurbished dell u2515h instead (same panel, better stand and I/O and comes with VESA mounts). Then I bought a second one on a really good /r/buildapcsales deal and then mounted them both.

I can't seem to find any in-depth, professional reviews about this monitor. PC Part Picker's list of monitors that are at least 1440p tells me the G257HU is the cheapest one it knows, and it's been like that for months.
There's no VESA mount, but there are adapters for that; this one is $32.

That was a perfect answer man I love it! I was thinking about my heatsink but I didn't really put that much thought into it! I plan on stay 1440p 60hz for a good while at least until 4k becomes really affordable you know. The 1080 seemed right up my ally for a perfect 1440p card I was thinking I may just save up some money for it and go for it I've been thinking about that since it came out actually! Check out this monitor it is cheaper and uses the same ips 1440p panel. The main difference is that it doesn't have vesa mounting but you can purchase an adapter.
