Unexpected items for my garage gym. Ha! Here are a few things that provided me much more pleasure than I thought they would:

  • My wife made me buy a fan for our garage gym. I delayed and fought, then finally installed it. I use it every day!

  • This electric leaf blower is the shit. I love it. Hint: Buy it from Home Depot, not AMZ

  • Man, our EZ curl Axle is so much fun

  • I do NOT have this in my garage gym, but I installed an Assault Air Runner in our Fringe gym, and I use it a lot more than I thought I would (I am a trail runner by choice).

Mounted above the screen and works great! Has a remote which I can use while running if I need it. Wind coming off this thing feels amazing!

You can stop the rust and corrosion by spraying clear lacquer over the metal parts before hanging it on the wall.

I'd recommend agricultural fans, but the drawback is that noise is not anything the manufacturer cares about. You want one that is as close to silent as you can get it. Durable but noisy isn't going to cut it for you.

Cheap plastic everything. Even the gears are nylon, so I am only expecting three of four years of use before they quit oscillating. But they are damn near silent, have three speeds, go up and down, side to side, and also a figure 8. Add to the fact they are remote controlled, and these things are hard to beat for the low price they sell for.
