Although I did just see the chrome vanadium version for $11 more. Not sure I need the CV version, but they do look prettier. All depends on what you are using them for on a daily basis I guess.
Spring action, not sure if that is a dealbreaker or not but I like mine so far. But haven't really had them long enough to say they are better or worse long-term.
I find these pliers make really good utility pliers, anything automotive especially, not just welding.
