If you have desktops, I'd just go with hardware usb locks

They are simple, and effective, an excellent deterrent, especially combined with BIOS blocks.

It's unlikely they'd spend time doing it, but there are reports of it happening on the AIO forums. Read up on the ID7 and ID7v2 hacks for the issues. Tape a note over the USB ports or block them.

Make a GPO for USB blocking, and utilize GPO filtering to exclude the Client Support team from the policy.
