I had an issue with high BP along with BAD BAD swelling my last month of pregnancy. My legs and feet looked like the Michelin Man. 😕 The swelling continued until a week PP when my Dr. prescribed a water pill and then I lost 30 lbs in the second week. 30 freakin pounds of water... in a week!! So yeah, the night sweats were unreal! I slept on a towel but also had a mattress protector beforehand (in case my water broke in bed). I'm 4 weeks PP and most things are totally back to normal.
I would pick up a good mattress protector anyway. You're probably going to want one in case your LO has an accident in your bed. It definitely won't help with the actual sweating part but it'll do its job in protecting the mattress. Hang in there!!

My bed came with this protector when I purchased it, can vouch it's stopped a many of things, blood, soda, water, one girl squirted like a gusher bed unharmed.

Not sure if it will work for pee, but I can verify that it does a good job protecting the mattress from the blood. Gallons and gallons of blood.
