EDIT: Can't seem to use the promo code, doesn't work when I add it on checkout for the g502, but does for other mice? Anyone else having the same problem?

The hardware is pretty strong. The mobo can take an m.2 ssd drive straight onto the mother board so you could stick a fast drive i there as the OS and game install drive for faster booting and response. I'm not well up on the best but this is well reviewed and has a good amount of programmable buttons.
If you are set on your budget have you considered looking into VR kit? Best to check it is his thing before you splurge on that. Not sure how Radeon cards manage with VR but i would have thought an 8Gb card coud handle it.
