this one has RGB LEDs, it has off-brand switches and it's a little over your budget but that's probably going to be the cheapest full size mechanical keyboard with RGB you'll find ^^^^imo

This is the keyboard I have, and I love it. The switches aren't cherry MX but they still sound/feel great. This is the exact same keyboard commonly seen on massdrop as the E-element RGB keyboard.

Check that out. It's not corsair, but I have one and it's really nice to type on. Note: it is loud (blue switches).

There is this but it comes with either Kailh or Outemu switches. There's also the Team Wolf CIY board that is floating design as well. Then you can easily put in the switches you want.

I do a ton of video editing. My keyboard of choice is the E-Element RGB Mechanical Keyboard. It has 6 color modes, one being where you choose the colors. Works on all OS's and has a number pad and a wrist rest. Its under a different name for cheaper here: (~$60)

Mechanical keyboards are expensive for a reason. They are infinitely superior in just about every way (other than cost an weight, and noise.) I have the TKL version of this keyboard and I love it so far. Bar none, that's probably the cheapest RGB keyboard there is and it's actually pretty good. It can't be customized like the much more expensive Corsair K70, but it's still fun. The Z-77 has MX Blue-style switches so they are clicky, which means they are very loud. Anything short of the Matis Quiet switches, you'll find just about every mechanical keyboard is very loud even when it is advertised as 'quiet.'

Personally I use a trackball because I'm not all that competatives, but when it comes to a mouse I like the Mad Catz RAT mouses since they just look so crazy.

Looking at Amazon.ca, The cheapest and safest one you can get is Corsair Strafe, that you can get below 130 CAD. What switches would you prefer?

This was my first mechanical. It lasted me a good while and has a nice tactile feel. It's RGB and a full keyboard. I never had any issues with it at all, I just got a better one. I'd say look for a more trustworthy brand though. If you can find a corsair for a similar price, then do that.

No, you can get a good gaming mouse and a MK for $100, especially if you buy used. Why build a gaming pc when the very interface you use is shit? Hell the OP originally had an i7 processor, which is totally useless and not cost effective.
