1. Buy a long HDMI cable and hook your PC up to your TV, like this one:

2. Buy a wired XB360/XB1 controller with a USB extension (or a PC wireless adapter for them) like these:

   That way, you can use your PC (Steam's Big Picture mode is fully controller supported) while sitting on your couch playing games. You can get the whole setup for under $50 either way you choose to do it. You get all the power of a PC with all the convenience of a console. Not sure why more people don't do this, but I HIGHLY recommend it.

This (non-powered!) USB splitter works for me on my PSC, in port #1, for both original PSC controllers. Works fine. Yes, even in the stock emulator. I am using it at the end of this USB extension cord since my couch is very far back from the TV.

I have my 64 GB USB 2.0 stick in port #2 of the PSC and that works fine, too.

I have an Alesis Command kit and have had this same issue.

I first encountered it when I tried using an Amazon Basics USB cable, and it would occur to me exactly as you describe it.

I originally had a much shorter cable which worked fine (was from an old printer), so I bought a Monoprice USB Extender.

The same thing still happens sometimes, but when I unplug/replug the USB cable from the module instead of the PC and then restart Reaper and EZdrummer, it all works fine (I suck).

I would suggest getting a higher quality USB AB cable, and then getting the extender and trying your luck with that.

I'm not entirely sure if it's an Alesis issue, or if we both got bad cables coincidentally, but that's what has worked for me. I hope this helps!

I like to use this cable. Has been working perfectly fine for me and is probably easier than a custom USB cable. If you really wanted to though, you could buy that cable and splice it with the one you have. Just make sure to look up USB extension cable limits before making a really long one. They need powered hubs at a certain length.

• I managed to fit my Hyperx Cloud II headset's usb cable into my Vive and it doesnt have a 90 degree bend at the connector. (although I admit it wasn't easy, it took some forcing to get the cover back on)
  
• I still have the short usb and power cables that came with the Vive that are meant to go from the PC to the link box and I was planning on plugging the extenders into those.
  
• The farthest point of my room is almost 15' away from the back of my PC so I'm planning on getting 2 of the 10' power cable extenders and using them together. Unfortunately I couldnt find any longer power cords on amazon.ca so I hope that'll work.

Yeah I would do the same if I had a 3d printer. I was just about to grab this cable when I decided to grab the mount instead. Not sure if it would work but seems like it would be fine, and $4 is a great price.
