Nah. You can get a police trade in 92F/FS/G (the G will probably be a bit more expensive because decocker only is pretty popular) for probably $500 or less.

Then you have your choice of grips.

For about $20 you can get a rail adapter if you can't find a 92 with a rail.

For a little more than $100 you can get a great quality light from Streamlight.

The most expensive parts would be a threaded barrel, suppressor, and tax stamp for the suppressor transfer.

But You don't need those last two to make a good Samurai Edge clone. Or the light really. You just need a police trade in 92F/FS/G and a set of grips which can potentially be far below $550.

You can make this work.

As for the light, get a Streamlight TLR-1. You don't want a laser.

Very interesting. Would need to get a custom holster made for when I shoot the night shoots, but that's a problem for another day.

you can get the non-railed version for the classic look and get a rail adapter like these grips or this rail adapter
