If you have very fine hair straight hair this will obviously be pretty difficult. You want some natural wave in there.
First off, something to hydrate and add a little shine. A small amount of something like OGX's products. Don't overdo it. Spray it in while wet, comb it all very well.
While your hair is wet, work in something with a very light hold. Something without a lot of weight, a cream rather than a hard wax or something. Hanz de Fuko Scheme Cream seems like it would work great here (I feel like an HdF shill with how much I mention them. I swear guys, I just really like their products. I wish they were paying me). When I say "work it in", I mean you don't want to just run it through your hair. You want to really play around in there. Go nuts. Get it all through there. No need to comb again, leave it as is. Should give it good texture as it dries.
I wouldn't bother blowdrying here. Just letting it air dry would be the much better option. While it's air drying you can occasionally take your hands and just tousle the front and top around. Why not right?

Cut is pretty much.. not even a concern. You'll grow it out to this length, go in, show them this picture and just say you want it trimmed up to get the front/sides to the right length. And get some texture in there. Some longer layering.
That's pretty much it. This was my hairstyle for most of my preteen years before I hit that awkward emo/scene stage.. Pretty easy to maintain, though a little frustrating. Gets very frizzy in the humidity. Get one of those anti-frizz sprays, should help a lot.

I don't use all of these products daily. I just use them when I feel it's necessary.
I don't get too deep into shampoos, but I grew up using Paul Mitchell - Shampoo One and The Conditioner. After a 20-year break where I was buying my own shampoo... I decided to swap back. I love what it has done for my hair. My hair is thick, coarse, and straight.
One thing that I love though is this.
It makes my hair gel so soft. I use it on my kids' hair, and they have wavy hair. It keeps the frizzies at bay. I use it after a shower while my hair is wet and a few spritzes in the morning to brush my hair. It seems to help a lot with breakage (I'm not nice to my hair).
These aren't Asian products obviously, but they are still pretty awesome.
