Hey Kotorcomics:

I am not sure what kind of space we are talking here, but I have a couple of suggestions.

  1. These cabinets are of excellent quality, fit snug against the wall, and take up minimal space depth wise. They are fairly wide, but their depth is about that of a PS2/Xbox/Wii game and the top sticks out enough to set console boxes on top of them https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KW0BM4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

  2. John Hancock posted a video a week or two ago updating his current progress on his new game room. He mentions some small, stackable plastic crates he will be using for his new space (smallish). He starts talking about them around the 3:20 mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGKfYGAtNaM.

Here it is.

Every one of those shelves is vertically adjustable, too, so if you wanna put books on it (like I do with mine) you can adjust some shelves for taller books. I've nearly filled the thing all the way up. It's been sturdy without any mounting to the wall or bracing of any sort.

For those wondering this is the stand. Even the backing board is MDF unlike most that use cardboard.
