Actually the Hardware Maintenance Manual (on the page you linked) lists the PM961 as what's currently installed.

You can use that as the basic specs.

> Look at the price on a 1080ti. The 1070 will give you 1080p ultra 60Hz. Is it worth it?

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you're saying here. And whoops I forgot to add my SSD to the list. I was looking at the 256gb Samsung PM961. What're you thinking about that? Thanks for the help too

There is also a 2TB version if you have a whole lot of games. You can spend double or more for the same capacity by getting something like the WD black series, but are you really going to notice the difference between 2.4GB/s and 3.4 when loading a map? No. You are not. What I'm saying is to prioritize capacity over a speed figure that you will never ever perceive, let alone realize in your own system. If you anticipate a need for even greater capacity, go with an SSD instead of the pcie-3.0 version, because between you and me, you won't notice the speed decrease there either. If you don't think you'll need that much capacity, by all means either save money by getting a 250/500GB, or if you want paying more for smaller but performance premium drive. If you can search newegg and amazon for oem drives, you can save some dough there without the retail package. Bear in mind, though if you've lost the m.2 standoff/screw set that came with your motherboard, you will have to order one when you get the drive. I did. I cost around $7. Truth is, I only bought m.2 because I wanted to play around with the format and I found a good deal on a Samsung OEM item. Also, I have a lot of drives booting different OSs and didn't want more cables and clutter in my case.

Here’s the one I got:

The reviews/answers say it’s a 960 pro but those are not always super accurate.

I’m sure I’m happy either way I was just curious if this was a “they don’t make them like they used to” scenario which I’m always fascinated by. Pioneer Kuro Plasma TVs come to mind.

I have the Intel m.2 drive that you've picked out as well as this one for my system drive. If you're solely picking up that Intel for your system drive, I would go with the other instead. The speeds are almost double & the price is significantly lower. https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MZVLW256HEHP-PM961-256GB-Internal/dp/B06VYJMLS8

That program gives me a "No SSD found" error and links me to this page

According to device manager, this is my hard drive. Any idea why it's not detected as SSD?
