Houses up to five hard drives by using easy to install turnbuckle screws.Designed with a 4.7¿ cooling fan and a hollow aluminum frame for efficient heat dissipation.Designed with an ON/OFF power switch, which controls the power of hard drives, when a 20-pin or 24-pin ATX power supply is connected.Expandable to 10-bay by stacking an additional unit on top and securing it with a tool-less screw.
I bought a cheap Pentium D on craigslist, modified the case slightly to install this, 2xthis, and an additional power supply. My data is on 7 drives, FreeNAS is on a thumbdrive, I get around 50 MBs(capital b). I didn't want to spend so much, especially on a device that could only be NAS. I have been running this setup for about a year without any issues. I use it mainly to serve my HTPC.

Yes, check this out: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001LF40KE/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_103?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
You'll need a 2nd PSU to mount on it to power it.
Probably tons of ways. After reading tschoev's comment about "usb 3.0 hub plus sata-to-usb3.0 adapters" I went on a little search for hard drive racks and found this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001LF40KE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
It can stack and holds 5 drives each, so basically you can stack up 2 sets of 3 on your desk. Something to note is you need to hook the hard drives up to a Power supply so make a spot to safely set that down near by. http://usb.brando.com/hdd-storage-tower-5-bay-_p00529c044d15.html Here are some better pictures to give you an idea.
I am currently using external hard drives but maybe in the future I might switch to this, see if i can get some cheap 8TB's as well.
Dropbox? Ha, get OneDrive and Office 365 Buisness Premium. You will be set for a loooooong time.
You could even get 20 1TB HDDs if you have the space. There are these SATA Multiplers and these external HDD Racks you might want to look into.
I just have a stack of JBOD racks, something like this

I have a couple of 8 port raid controllers but I don't set up any RAID, just use them in JBOD mode. I don't trust any cloud crap so all my stuff is local. I run every HD in pairs and backup via weekly rsync cron job. When I fill one up, I just add 2 more and keep going.
The server they are connected to is just a beige box in a rack in the garage, everything shared over the local network via samba.

This will help with those hard drives.... It's a hard drive rack.
You could always get something like this. I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives, but you get the idea.
Edit: I suppose you are looking to have them all connect via USB then... I'll keep looking.
Edit2: I'm not sure what your budget is, but here's one that'll store 4 drives and connect them via usb for ~$100
TBH, I no longer own a 3.5 inch floppy drive so I couldn't check it myself, but you might be able to mount them in

They're stackable up to 2units @ 10 drives per stack.
