Yeah I have a set of adjustable dumbbells I use for rehab/prehab work and they work pretty well. Theyre still rather expensive, about 1-1.5 dollars per pound.
I LOVE rice bucket training because it gives my forearms a massive pump. I didnt like alot of the routines out there so I made my own, distilling it down to the essentials. It only takes 5 minutes, and my arms are toast.
I personally donr do sledgehammer levering, but I do suppination/pronation with a 3 lb mallet. I find that using a stick gives too dramatic a resistance curve, so I stick to a heavier shorter lever arm.
