I've heard good and bad things about the Star Wars blu ray sets. Mostly the bad stuff is in regards to a blu ray set coming out later on down the line and so there's no point in buying the existing one if a better set is coming, but I honestly don't think the difference will warrant postponing buying it.

There's so many to choose from. Its depends what you're in the mood for.

You could have 25 greats with the Universal 100th Anniversary Collection

Or seeing as you've already got Star Wars you could get the Treks too. Original Films and Next Gen Films.

I'd say start with the movies.

I personally think they're pretty accessible, and give you a taste of the world before committing to all the TV content.

Oh man, Star Trek is such a huge part of my childhood. I can't get enough of it :3 I can't even recall how many times I've completely watched The Next Generation.

All the Star Trek TNG films were excellent IMO. The last one was particularly poignant as a character-study on middle age.

I suggest the Blu-Ray versions. Their quality is better.

Recently, and I am very late to this party, I have discovered my love for Star Trek: The Next Generation. I always liked the random episodes I saw here and there, but I'm afraid that I didn't like the original series very much so I figured that most of TNG would be much the same. However, I began watching TNG on Netflix, and have fallen totally in love with it. The characters, the plots, and the conflicts. There's so much to it, and I have so much of it left to go. I've been taking it slow so I don't run out of episodes too quickly like I've done with other shows I loved. I'll always be a Star Wars fan, but I am learning to appreciate both of them for what they offer instead of being all "THIS ONE IS BETTER AND I WON'T ACCEPT ANYTHING OTHERWISE."

The item I would put? I'd have to say this set of Star Trek movies based around the TNG universe and Captain Picard (who is the coolest character ever played by the coolest actor ever). It is, I'm afraid, slightly above the $25 limit. Which if that would be an issue and I would happen to be chosen as a winner, a gift card for the settled amount would work and I'd be happy to pay the difference myself! I'd just really love to have these movies in my collection while I save up to eventually get the seasons themselves on BluRay (holy crap dey expensive, yo) so I can watch them whenever I want. I was recently gifted First Contact by my Rainy Days match, but it's cheaper to get this box set than to buy all the movies themselves. Sup with that?
