I grabbed one of these mic attachments and the mic quality is surprisingly good. Saves you a bit.
Here's a compatible boom mic for your 558 's.
VModa boom pro has a 3.5mm connection, so unless you mod your Sennheiser, they won't work. Sennheiser uses 2.5mm, vice 3.5mm. But, there is a VModa boompro like option...

I had one of these: First the volume knob started to wobble, and it would make cracks and pops through both input and output anytime I'd use it. Then the wire started to come apart internally after about a year, i.e. the warranty period. Happened much sooner for a friend of mine.
The design is brilliant, but I can't personally recommend them. I'd be more inclined to suggest something from Lovinstar, Sukira, or KetDirect, but they all have problems too.

Fits and locks right in.
So I bought one for me and my lady plus my friend got one.
I take really good care of my stuff so mine never had an issue besides the clip spring being so strong it broke the clip but both my lady (who tangled hers up) and my friend had theirs break so take that for what its worth.
I'm not sure how the sound quality will be, but it should work. I found a few cheaper alternatives if you have prime. The second one should be plug and play with your headset.
