You can pretty much do the same thing with your TV if you shove one of these up your sleeve.
Here is a magic wand that really does work.
What I really want is something like the harry potter want remote, but for smart lights and other HA stuff.
In my ideal use case I would be able to press a button to target a light, another button to target a room, and then use hand/finger gestures to control things. So say I wanted to dim the living room lights - press "room" button, then do the "lower" gesture and have all the lights dim.
