Didn't Sega sue the Simpson because the game was too similar to Crazi Taxi? Anyway...

Anyway, I tried the game and it's a lot of fun. No matter how fast you run over one of these toony character, you can never hurt them bad. There's somewhat of a plot about aliens trying to mind control springfield's population with cola. In each mission you control one member of the eponimous Simpson family doing GTA like missions. Missions range from bart evading principal skinner to Homer outrunning Smithers to the Kwik-E-Mart You can take control of any vehicule in town as it's implied that the residents of springfield own the Simpson a lot. You can drive almost any type of vehicle featured in the Simpson: dump truck, limo, ambulance, coffin car, mini school bus... Just like GTA you can get the cops on your tail if you do too much damage to the environment. the whole package is quite funny, the jokes are not too childish, they are aimed at everybody who can like the Simpson show.
So I wholeheartedly recommand this game. You can get the pc version on Amazon.
And apparently still costs $60.

I believe you can get some copies off Amazon, they always have older boxed copies of games.
Such as this copy.
